Massage therapy is usually at its most effective when a client receives regular sessions: at least one session a month is
recommended for most basically healthy people. This frequency is enough to see some cumulative benefits (e.g. Increased
ease and range of motion at the joints, decreased “background level” muscular tension, detoxification of the body tissues,
etc.) that will build up over time. Clients who are seen only irregularly (or regularly at too great an interval are constantly
starting again at Square One… which is often not the most healthy or comfortable square to be on…
